Revelacion Maranatha

Many of you have heard me talk about a fantastic band I heard when I was in the Dominican Republic, just before I came home from Haiti.  We are in the works to get them to come for a concert here in Presque Isle this Fall.  They tour the US to raise money for medical work.  This year they will be raising money for medical work in Haiti.  Moises is just to the left of the interviewer in the video.  He is one of the keyboardists in the band and is the Administrator of The Good Shepherd Hospital, the sending hospital for the teams I was with in Haiti in February.  I thought that you'd like to hear some of their music... a teaser... for when they come this Fall!  Andy, of the video in the blog below, plays the trumpet in the band as well.  In fact, several of the band members work with the medical teams!  Coming to the concert will help support the medical work.

This is just a taste of what is to come.  We need to build momentum... My dream is to see Aroostook County sending teams down yearly for more work in Haiti and with the Haitians living in the Dominican Republic!  (Anyone want to join the team?  You don't need to be in the medical field.)

The first is an interview of Kristy Engle, PNP, (Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner).  She is the International Ministries team leader with whom I connected for the trip to Haiti.  Many of the photos/video clips you will see in the background are from our teams' work. 

The second video was made by Riky "Andy" Garcia.  Andy has helped with translation work for us.  He is both a fantastic photographer and plays trumpet in the band Revelacion Maranatha.  More about them in another blog.
